Keuka Park, NY -- The EC Men's Tennis team downed Keuka College 9-0 Wednesday afternoon in Keuka Park. The Soaring Eagles improve to 3-4 overall on the season, while the Storm fell to 1-4.
 
In doubles action EC started off very quick giving up only four games total. First and third doubles won by identical scores of 8-1, while second doubles won by a score of 8-2. In singles action Elmira swept all six singles spots with five out of the six spots dropping only one game. Steffan Waters '13 (Elmira, NY -- Elmira Free Academy), Gorav Simlote '13 (Syracuse, NY -- Jamesville-Dewitt), George Smith '13 (Watseka, IL -- Granite City) and Dylan Christman '15 (Wellsboro, PA -- Wellsboro) all won with similar scores of 6-0, 6-0.   Eric Klinedinst '12 (York, PA -- Northeastern) also dominated at first singles winning 6-1, 6-0. Sam Pine '14 (Elmira, NY -- Thomas Edison) played a tight match at third singles edging out a three set tiebreak win 6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 7-6 (10-5).   
 
The EC Men's Tennis team will return to action tomorrow when it travels to Oneonta, NY to take on Hartwick College in Empire 8 conference action starting at 4:00 p.m.
