Last Time Out: The EC Softball team swept its season-opening double header at Wesleyan College on Sunday, 22-0 and 15-3.
Where We Sit: Elmira sits at 2-0 overall as it continues its Georgia trip where it will play eight contests in just under a week.
Who's Hot: Alex Puglisi '14 earned the win in EC's first game of the year holding Wesleyan to a hit and a walk in five innings, while recording 13 strikeouts.
Ashley Palmer '16 combined to go 5-for-6 from the plate in the doubleheader, scoring three runs and finishing with 4 RBI's. The freshman had two doubles and a home run in the two contests.
Scouting Piedmont: The Lions enter today's contest 2-0 overall after sweeping Berry College, 3-2 and 6-4 Friday afternoon. Piedmont was led by Kristin Hamby who went 3-for-7 scoring one run and knocking in three runs.
Looking Ahead: The Softball team takes on No. 23 Emory University tomorrow for a doubleheader starting at 12:30 p.m. The Eagles will enter Thursday's contest a perfect 8-0.
