Clinton, NY -- In their first, and last, dual-match of the fall season, the Elmira College men's tennis team fell to Hamilton College, 8-1. Picking up EC's only point on the afternoon was the first doubles team of Keith Bujak '15 and Satchal Waters '16.
 
Both of Elmira's first and second doubles teams started out strong, leading by a break early on in their respective matches. Unfortunately, for Steve Farnholz '18 and Patrick Tracey '18, they would lose their early advantage and go on to lose 8-3 at the second spot. Bujak and Waters, however, would be resilient at first doubles, despite giving back their break to go down 3-2 in the match.
 
After several consecutive holds by both teams, with the duo trailing 6-5, Waters put together a string of quality serves to get a crucial hold and knot the match up at six. Then on the ensuing Hamilton service game, Waters and Bujak turned it up a notch, earning their second break of the match and a 7-6 lead. Bujak, with the match on his racquet, served out the 8-6 win.
 
That would be it for the Purple and Gold's scoring on the day as the Continentals proved to be too strong during singles play, taking all six singles matches.
 
This was the final competition of the fall season for the men's tennis team. EC picks back up in early 2015 with the spring portion of their schedule.
