GAME NOTES
Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College men's basketball team will look to pick up their fourth and fifth consecutive wins, as well as secure their first-ever Empire 8 Tournament berth, this weekend against Ithaca College and Alfred University. EC needs wins in both games and a bit of help from the rest of the conference to be one of the four teams competing for an Empire 8 Championship next weekend. Tip-off against the Bombers is tonight at 8:00 p.m. followed by the Saxons tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
Elmira is coming off an 86-76 road win against Empire 8 Conference opponent, Houghton College. The Soaring Eagles trailed twice in the game, both in the first half and both by only one point, as the Soaring Eagles cruised to their third straight win of the season.  Justin Henderson '16 paced the Soaring Eagles with a career-high 29 points, 24 of which came from three-point buckets.

A Pair of Top-30 Shooters
Justin Henderson '16 and Neil Randolph '15 have been lighting it up from three-point range all season, ranking second and third, respectively, in the Empire 8 in three-point percentage, as well as ranking in the top-30 across the NCAA. On the season, Henderson is shooting 44.3 percent from distance while Randolph is knocking-down 43.3 percent of his attempts.

All-Time vs. Ithaca
The Soaring Eagles defeated Ithaca, 75-60, earlier this season, but the Bombers still hold a 38-22 advantage in the all-time series.

A Look at the Bombers
Ithaca enters tonight's game losers of four of their last five games, which has dropped them from 7-3 to 8-7 in Empire 8 play. Today's game is significant for the Bombers as a loss would eliminate them from postseason play. Ithaca has four players in double-figures, led by the duo of Keefe Gitto and Marc Chasin, who average 15.5 and 14.9 points per game, respectively.

All-Time vs. Alfred
The Saxons took down EC in Alfred, NY earlier this season, bringing Elmira's advantage in the series history to 31-29. Alfred is one of two Empire 8 institutions in which the Soaring Eagles have a winning record over, the other being Houghton College.

Scouting Alfred
The Saxons clinched a spot in the four-team Empire 8 Conference Tournament with a 60-59 upset of No. 16 St. John Fisher College Tuesday night. Dalton Walsh hit the game-winning free throw with three seconds left, finishing with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocks. Walsh is averaging 16.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game while his running mate, Tyler Seelman is averaging 15.9 points per contest.
