Men's Basketball Game Notes - Feb. 6-7

Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College men's basketball team, sitting at 4-5 in Empire 8 Conference play, readies for a pair of crucial conference games this weekend. EC takes on the No. 24 nationally ranked Cardinals of St. John Fisher College tomorrow, February 6th at 8:00 p.m. in Pittsford, NY, then return to Speidel Gymnasium for a matchup against Nazareth College the following day at 4:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Soaring Eagles took down Fredonia State, 62-56, Tuesday night improving their overall record to 7-11. EC got a season-best 26 points from Neil Randolph '15 and knocked-down a total of 13 three-pointers in the win. 

1,000 Point Tracker
It's just a matter of time now before Neil Randolph '15 reaches 1,000 career points. His 26-point performance increased his career total to 997 points, leaving him just three points shy of becoming the 16th player in EC history, and second in as many seasons, to join the 1,000-point club. 

Scouting St. John Fisher
St. John Fisher continues to roll through the Empire 8 Conference as they picked up their 10th consecutive Empire 8 win, and 15th straight win overall, with a 35-point victory over Utica College. Keegan Ryan paces the Cardinals with 16.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game and ranks 14th in the nation with his 62.7 shooting percentage. Chaz Lott has been highly efficient running Fisher's offense, ranking 13th in the NCAA with 5.9 assists per contest. 

A Look at the Golden Flyers
Nazareth enters the weekend 3-6 in Empire 8 play following their 84-66 win over Houghton College on February 3rd. Mitch Ford posted a game-high 35 points and completed his sixth double-double of the season with 11 rebounds. Overall, Ford averages 17.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, both of which rank behind Maurice Mills, who averages 19.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
