Last Time Out
Elmira snapped a five-game skid yesterday, topping the visiting Alfred State in back-to-back games. The Soaring Eagles outlasted the Pioneers in the opening thanks to a terrific pitching performance by second-year talent Katie McDougal '18, who finished the game with five strikeouts, tying her season high. Elmira scored runs in the second and third inning on RBI hits by Jacquelyn Heggie '16, Chelsea Storch '17, and McDougal. Game two saw Emily Carlin '17 toss a one-hit shutout, as Elmira cruised to an 8-0 victory. Highlighting the eight-run win was Hannah Vignone '19 and her bases-clearing double in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Career Day for Heggie
Julianne Heggie '16 produced three RBIs in Elmira's eight-run win over Alfred State. The three runs batted in are a career high for the Oxford, NY, native and was one off of the single-season high this year set by Katie Day '16.
