Baseball's Busy Weekend Opens vs. Hilbert at Dunn Field on Friday

ELMIRA, N.Y. -- A busy weekend lies ahead for the Elmira College baseball team, as the Soaring Eagles are scheduled to play five non-conference games in a span of three days, four of which are on the road. EC opens the weekend at historic Dunn Field on Friday, April 13, at 3:00 p.m. against Hilbert College, before heading to No. 10 SUNY Cortland and the University of Rochester for doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

  • The Hawks own a 6-14 overall record and a 3-5 mark in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action.

  • Although the Yellowjackets are 6-10 on the season, they've opened Liberty League play on a strong note with a 6-2 conference record.
  • Over the weekend, U of R swept all four games at home against St. Lawrence University, including a wild 16-13 victory in the second game on Saturday, April 7.

On Tuesday, April 17, the Purple and Gold will travel to Oswego, New York, to face another ranked program out of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). EC and No. 19 Oswego State will meet that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. for a nine-inning non-conference game.
