ERIE, PA. – The Elmira College women's wrestling program returned to the mat on Wednesday night with a dual against nationally-ranked Gannon University. The Golden Knights would win six of the seven contested bouts to secure a 44-5 victory over the Soaring Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Skylah Chakouian '25 would deliver the lone victory of the match for the Purple & Gold while wrestling at 155 pounds. Chakouian held a 6-0 lead in the bout with time winding down in the first period as she would pin Gannon's, Gabby Malinowski.
The Golden Knights opened the match with a 15-0 advantage following forfeits by the Soaring Eagles at 101, 109, and 116 pounds. Gannon also recorded a victory at 143 pounds via an injury decision as Elmira's
Brooke Williams '25 would be unable to finish the bout.
