ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Director of Athletics Rhonda Faunce has announced the addition of Anthony Affissio to Elmira College's staff as the Head ESports Coach. Affissio's tenure with the Soaring Eagles begins effective immediately.
 
Originally from Long Island, New York, Anthony graduated from Keuka College in the spring of 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in English & Organizational Communications. He is also the Academic Support Specialist at Elmira College, located in The CAPE, Gannett-Tripp Library.

An avid gamer since his youth, rocking old school 8-bits such as Super Mario and Legend of Zelda, Anthony still remains passionate about gaming. Currently, his favorite competitive titles are Overwatch, CounterStrike and the Call of Duty franchise.
 
"As someone who grew up with, and still is a Gamer, I couldn't be more excited to join Elmira College Athletics as the new ESports Head Coach", said Affissio. "Competitive gaming has been a personal passion of mine for as long as I can remember and I'm looking forward to translating that enthusiasm and knowledge into continuing this amazing program."
 
Anthony lives in Corning and has a large family that includes his amazing and supportive wife Jessika, four daughters, two dogs, five cats, and three aquariums.
