BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. – The Elmira College men's golf team held its 5th place ranking following the final day of the fall portion of the 2022-23 Empire 8 Men's Golf Championship after shooting a 359 (+71) at Timber Banks Golf Club. The Soaring Eagles were paced on Sunday by Nicholas
Domitrovic '24, who carded an 81 (+9) to move into 18th place out of 47 golfers on the individual leaderboard.

Elmira finished the round with 55 pars and three birdies as Domitrovic tallied one on the Par 3 15th, while
Jack Finnerty '23 dropped a pair on the Par 4 6th followed by the Par 5 11th. Domitrovic and Finnerty each recorded 13 pars on the day for the Purple & Gold, while
Shane Haviland '24 added 12 pars. Finnerty was just one of four golfers on the day to play his Par 5s even or better, while Domitrovic averaged a 3.63 on his Par 3s going +5 for Elmira.
Domitrovic rebounded with three straight pars on holes 3-5 after opening his round with a bogey on each of the first two holes. He would go on to par four holes on the Back 9 and finished his round with a +9. Haviland would drop four pars on the day and carded a 92 to move into a tie for 26th place, while Finnerty carded a 93 to place 28th overall.
Christian Abrams '25 delivered a stretch of three consecutive pars on holes 2-4 and finished the day with a round 93 to place 34th.
Matt York '26 sits in 35th place overall for the Soaring Eagles after carding a 103 on the day.

The spring portion of the Empire 8 Men's Golf Championship will consist of 36 holes and will take place on April 15-16, 2023, at Hershey Country Club.
