EAST STROUDSBURG, PA. – The Elmira College women's wrestling program recorded a 2-2 overall record on Sunday as the Soaring Eagles placed third as a team at the NCWWC Northeast Regional Duals hosted by East Stroudsburg University.
Elmira opened the day with back-to-back dual losses against No. 10 East Stroudsburg and No. 5 Sacred Heart before responding with consecutive victories against Western New England and No. 9 New Jersey City. The win against NJCU improved EC's record to 4-0 all-time against the Gothic Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first dual of the day against No. 10 ESU, the Soaring Eagles would get individual victories from Zoey Lints '27 at 143 pounds and Skylah Chakouian '25 at 155 pounds.
- Lints recorded her victory via pin at the 2:24 mark against ESU's Jayla Hahn, while Chakouian notched a pin against the Warriors' Paityn DeLong at the 4:13 mark. Wrestling at 109 pounds, Ana Martins-Garcia '27 made her collegiate debut for the Soaring Eagles as she dropped a 6-0 decision.
- Against No. 5 Sacred Heart, it would be all Pioneers as Elmira recorded just one individual victory and single points in three other bouts.
- Megan Edwards '27 notched a victory via pin wrestling at 123 pounds for the Soaring Eagles as she matched up against Sacred Heart's Elleahana Anderson. The pin for Edwards would come at the 1:14 mark of the bout.
- Elmira would record a point in the match from Tess Clabaugh '27 at 136 pounds, Lints at 143 pounds, and Chakouian at 155 pounds. Lints battled to a 3-3 decision against the Pioneers' Temi Sanusi as Sanusi received the victory after battling back from a deficit to score the final points.
- The Soaring Eagles captured six weight classes en route to a victory against Western New England in their third bout of the day.
- Abby Duke '26 notched a 12-0 tech fall victory for EC at the 3:22 mark while wrestling at 116 pounds, while Edwards needed just 49 seconds to pin WNE's Victoria Orender at 123 pounds.
- Elmira would also get victories via fall in the dual from Lints, Chakouian, and Hazel Dahlquist '25. Taylor Goguen '26 recorded a win via forfeit for the Purple & Gold at 101 pounds.
- The Purple & Gold would notch six more individual victories against the Gothic Knights as Elmira defeated No. 9 NJCU for the fourth consecutive time in dual competition.
- Skylynn Tomlinson '26 opened the match with a forfeit victory at 101 pounds, while Edwards followed with a pin in 46 seconds at 123 pounds. Hailey Berry '27 notched her first collegiate dual victory for EC with a pin in 1:52 at 130 pounds.
- Elmira closed the dual victory with pins from Lints, Chakouian, and Dahlquist to secure the victory over the Gothic Knights.
