OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Elmira College Golf team placed third at the Oswego State Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon, carding a 344 for the round for a team-low outing this spring. Shane Haviland '24 would serve as the low-man for the Soaring Eagles after posting a 79 (+8), which was good for a T5 finish individually. Haviland, who was one stroke off his best round of the season, was able to finish 4th in the field in Par-4 scoring (4.27; +3), while also finishing within the top-ten of Par-3 scoring (3.50; +2).
For the second consecutive outing, the Soaring Eagles did not have one of its five players card a score over 100, with Chance Gorman '24, Nicholas Domitrovic '24, Christian Abrams '25, and Tyler Scott '26 rounding out the Elmira field.
Domitrovic would go on to shoot an 85 (+14) on the afternoon, which was good for a T15 finish in the tournament. His average Par-5 scoring of 5.33 was good for a top-ten finish in such category, leading all Soaring Eagle golfers in the category as well.
Abrams, Scott, and Gorman would round out the Soaring Eagle lineup after posting an 86, 94, and 96, respectively.
