AURORA, N.Y. – The Elmira College men's golf team competed at the Wells College Invitational on Friday afternoon before heading up to Oswego State for a two-day event on Saturday and Sunday, finishing second of three teams at the invitational. Elmira, who finished the day shooting a 320 (+40) at the Wells College Course, were led by Jack Finnerty '23 who posted an eight-over effort after carding a 78 for the round. Additionally, Finnerty would card yet another top-five finish, as he finished fourth amongst individuals.
TEAM RESULTS:
1. SUNY Canton - 305 (+25)
2. Elmira - 319 (+39)
3. Wells - 384 (+104)
Additionally on the day, the Soaring Eagles had Nicholas Domitrovic '24 (79, +9) and Shane Haviland '24 80 (+10) both represent Elmira as the 5th and 6th best-scoring individuals at the outing, while Chance Gorman '24 rounded out the Elmira scoring with an 82 (+12) finishing 9th. Additionally, Connor Stone '26 and Matt York '26 each posted a 94 (+24) on the day.

The Soaring Eagles return to the course this weekend to take part in the two-day, Oswego State Fall Invitational. Tee time on Saturday is set for 11:00 AM at Oswego Country Club on day one.
