ELMIRA, N.Y. – The nationally-ranked Elmira College women's wrestling program improved to 3-0 in dual meets this season as the Soaring Eagles recorded a 45-4 victory against Utica University along with a 35-8 victory against New Jersey City University inside Speidel Gymnasium on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In its match against NJCU, the Soaring Eagles recorded five wins via fall, with Megan Edwards '27, Ragan Retell '28, Skylah Chakouian '25, Hazel Dahlquist '25, and Tayana Labady '25 each coming away victorious.
- Elmira also received a pair of forfeit victories, with Zoey Lints '27 and Joycedeliz Rodriguez Santiago '28 earning five points each at 145 pounds and 103 pounds for the Soaring Eagles. There was a double forfeit at 110 pounds, as neither team sent a wrestler to the mat.
- NJCU recorded both of its victories via tech fall at 117 pounds and 131 pounds.
- Elmira won three of the four contested bouts in its match against Utica while adding six forfeit victories against the Pioneers. The Soaring Eagles won by fall at 124 pounds, 138 pounds, and 145 pounds.
- Lints pinned her opponent in 1:04, while Edwards needed just 34 seconds to secure her fall. At 138 pounds, Retell pinned her opponent in 2:47 to secure the win.
