COLLEGEVILLE, PA. – The Elmira College women's wrestling program recorded a fourth-place finish in the team standings, along with having five wrestlers record top five finishes on Saturday at the Will Abele Invitational hosted by Ursinus.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Zoey Lints '27 recorded a first-place finish wrestling at 145 pounds for the Soaring Eagles as she went 4-0 on the day with two pins and two tech fall victories. Lints defeated ESU's Selina Moore in the finals with a pin after holding a 10-2 lead in the bout.
- Tayana Labady '25 captured the title wrestling at 207 pounds for the Purple & Gold as she went 3-0 on the day with one pin and two tech fall victories. Labady opened the tournament with a fall and followed with back-to-back tech falls to secure first-place.
- Skylah Chakouian '25 advanced to the title match wrestling at 160 pounds for Elmira and would be pitted against a familiar foe in ESU's Tiffani Baublitz. It would be Baublitz who came away with the 6-0 decision over Chakouian to secure the title. Chakouian went 3-0 with three pins to advance to the title bout.
- Hazel Dahlquist '25 also advanced to the title match for the Soaring Eagles wrestling at 180 pounds. Dahlquist recorded a pin in her first bout after receiving a bye to secure her spot in the title bout against Fabiana Josa from New Jersey City. Josa secured the title at 180 pounds with a pin of Dahlquist.
- Making her return to the EC wrestling program, Lacey Hinman '27 recorded a fifth-place finish wrestling at 207 pounds for the Soaring Eagles. Hinman dropped her first bout but battled back with a pair of wins, including a pin in the fifth-place bout for the Purple & Gold.
- Abbigale Williams '28 notched a pin for Elmira wrestling at 160 pounds, while Camila Hidalgo '28 recorded her first collegiate win wrestling at 145 pounds.
- Gabby Bradigan '26 finished with a pair of wins at 131 pounds for EC, while Talia Robles also notched a pair of victories on the day for the Soaring Eagles.
UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles are back in action at the Journeymen Duals in Albany on January 25, as Elmira is scheduled to wrestle four dual matches beginning at 11:00 a.m.
