MANHEIM, PA. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has shared the NCAA Women's bracket for the upcoming NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships. This year's event will take place at the University of Northern Iowa Dome, with action scheduled for January 10-11, 2025.
After going un-seeded at last year's event, the Elmira College women's wrestling program received one of the top eight national seeds. Iowa received the top seed in the bracket, while North Central, King (TN), McKendree, Presbyterian, and Colorado Mesa are seeded 2-6. Elmira is seeded seventh, and Wartburg is seeded eighth in the NCAA Women's bracket.
This year's event features seven of the top eight placing teams from a year ago, including defending National Duals Champions, Iowa. The Soaring Eagles did not record a top-eight finish at last year's national duals but will open with their first match against Schreiner University on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
Following its match against the Mountaineers, Elmira would face either Mount Olive or North Central in the winner's bracket or consolation bracket. If the Soaring Eagles advance to the semifinals of the winner's bracket, they could face either King (TN), Lock Haven, Sacred Heart, or Colorado Mesa.
