Zoey Lints '27 captured another open championship for the Elmira College women's wrestling program, while teammate
Skylah Chakouian '25 added a championship of her own on Saturday as the Soaring Eagles recorded four top-eight finishes and placed eighth in the team standings at the Frostburg State Bobcat Open.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Zoey Lints '27 captured the 145-pound title with a 4-0 record and four pins on the day for the Purple & Gold. Lints recorded three of her pins in less than a minute, while her quarterfinal bout would take 2:09 before she notched a victory against Taylor Mead from McDaniel.
- Skylah Chakouian '25 claimed the 160-pound title for the Purple & Gold with a 3-0 record on the day after opening her tournament run in the quarterfinals. Chakouian recorded back-to-back pins to advance to the first-place match, where she would be victorious via a 6-2 decision.
- Lacey Hinman '27 placed eighth wrestling at 180 pounds for the Soaring Eagles as she recorded a pin over Cynthia Smith from Mount Olive in 2:34 in the consolation second round. Joycedeliz Rodriguez Santiago '28 also placed eighth at 103 pounds for the Soaring Eagles.
- Regan Retell '28 opened her day with a pair of tech fall victories for Elmira at 131 pounds before dropping back-to-back matches in the quarterfinals and consolation fourth round. Gabby Bradigan '26 won a pair of consolation matches before seeing her tournament come to an end in the consolation fifth round at 138 pounds for EC.
- Talia Robles '28 rebounded from an opening-round loss at 145 pounds to notch a pair of wins via fall and decision in the consolation third and fourth rounds for Elmira. Robles' day would end in the fourth round against Taylor Mead from McDaniel.
UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles host their final dual of the season inside Speidel Gymnasium on February 9 as they will recognize the class of 2025 with a ceremony prior to the match.
