ELMIRA, N.Y. - Elmira College baseball shortstop CJ Wheaton has been named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday. This is the second time Wheaton has been tabbed E8 Rookie of the Week this season.

In the eight games EC played over Spring Break, Wheaton was 10-21 at the plate with a .476 batting average. Of his 10 hits, 7 of them were extra base hits including one homerun. He tallied seven runs and seven RBI's alongside four walks, executing strong plate discipline. Lastly, he stole two bases.
