Department of Athletics Announces 2026 Summer Camp Slate

ELMIRA, N.Y – The Elmira College Department of Athletics has announced its 2026 Summer Camp lineup, featuring nine different camps/clinics offered throughout the summer months. 

Field Hockey (7v7 Tournament)
On June 7, the Elmira College Field Hockey team will be hosting its annual 7v7 Tournament on Campus Field. Those interested should reach out directly to head coach Jess Galatioto at jgalatioto@elmira.edu. The registration deadline is May 24. 

Baseball Nike Camp:
Elmira College Baseball will host its annual Nike Camp July 6–9 at the Holding Point Recreation Complex. Head Coach Anthony Goncalves welcomes players of all levels to develop their skills with guidance from experienced collegiate coaches. Registration can be found here

Softball Nike Camp:
Elmira College Softball will be hosting its annual Nike Camp from July 13-16 at the Holding Point Recreation Complex. Join us and improve all aspects of your game with Camp Director and Head Coach of Elmira Softball, Randie Torgalski. This camp gives players of all abilities, the opportunity to continue playing softball this summer! The camp will cover all aspects of softball, making it a great environment to learn skills and make new friends. Registration can be found here.

Women's Basketball:
Elmira College will host a 1st-8th grade girls basketball camp August 3rd - August 6th, 2026. Camp will start each day at 9AM and conclude at 3PM inside Speidel Gymnasium. The camp will be designed to improve individual skills and team play. Coach Thad Phillips and current Soaring Eagle players will lead camp. The cost of the camp will include a camp T-shirt. In addition to its girl's basketball day camp, Elmira College Women's Basketball will be running its annual high school team summer league inside Speidel Gymnasium every Tuesday and Thursday from July 7 - August 13. Teams interested should reach out directly to head coach Thad Phillips at tphillips@elmira.edu

Women's Volleyball:
Open to campers of all ages and skill levels, this four-day camp is divided into two sessions based on grade level to ensure a focused and age-appropriate experience. The morning session, held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., is designed for athletes in grades 4–8. It's an ideal environment for beginners or those in their first few years of playing, with an emphasis on learning the game and building foundational skills.The afternoon session, running from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., is geared toward athletes in grades 9–12. This session is perfect for players looking to refine their skills for high school or club competition, while still welcoming those who are new to the sport. Throughout the week, campers will have the opportunity to develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment. Training will begin with a focus on fundamentals and position-specific instruction before progressing toward team play. The camp will conclude with a scrimmage on the final day, which parents are invited to attend. Participants will receive hands-on instruction and mentorship from current collegiate volleyball players and coaches from Elmira College, offering a true glimpse into the college-level experience.Registration can be found here

Men's Soccer:
Join the Elmira Men's Soccer Clinic for a competitive and developmental training experience on Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Elmira College's Campus Field. Designed for players ages 15-19, this clinic provides an inside look at collegiate-level training while giving athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills. Throughout the day, participants will take part in technical drills, small-sided games, and full-field competition under the guidance of the Elmira men's soccer coaching staff. Spots are limited to ensure a quality experience, so don't miss your chance to train, compete, and learn what it takes to play at the next level. Registration for the event can be found here

Men's Volleyball:
For campers who will be sophomore/junior/seniors/incoming college freshmen in the Fall of 2026. This 1.5 day camp is intended to provide each player an opportunity to develop their skills in a fun environment all while getting the feel for the college experience. The camp will focus on fundamentals and position specific training in the beginning, then work our way towards 6v6 style play. Campers will receive first hand knowledge and training from current collegiate volleyball players and coaches of Elmira College. Camp will run from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.on August 12, and 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on August 13. Check-in will begin at 2PM on August 12 inside Speidel Gymnasium. Men's/Women's Ice Hockey:
Get ready to hit the ice at Elmira College Hockey Camp—an exciting opportunity for players to develop their skills in a high-energy, supportive environment. Designed for athletes looking to improve their skating, puck handling, shooting, and game awareness, this camp offers focused instruction led by experienced coaches and players. Running from August 24 - 27, Ages 5-10 will go from 5:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m., while ages 11-17 will go from 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Registration can be found here
