Hogan scored four goals in three Elmira wins last week, increasing her season total to a NCAA-leading 23. She also reached 100 career points in Tuesday night's victory at Williams College, becoming the 10th player in Elmira College women's ice hockey history to reach that career milestone.
The senior forward scored two goals in the mid-week win at Williams, helping the Soaring Eagles overcome a 1-0 deficit at the first intermission to take down the Ephs, 4-2. Her first goal, which came in the second period, was the point that put her in the exclusive 100-point club. Then, over the weekend, Hogan notched another two goals, both of which came in Sunday's 4-0 win over Chatham University.
Hogan and the women's ice hockey team will now prepare for a showdown of the top-two teams in the country. The No. 2 Soaring Eagles travel to Plattsburgh, NY to take on No. 1 Plattsburgh State in a weekend series that has ECAC West and NCAA Tournament implications. The first game of the weekend set is on Saturday, January 31st at 3:00 p.m.
