For the No. 8-ranked women's ice hockey team, Eliza Beaudin '22 netted a pair of goals, as the Purple and Gold swept back-to-back contests against the always-tough Amherst and Williams from the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). On Saturday afternoon against the Mammoths, the second-year forward helped EC earn a 3-0 win by netting the final goal in the third period. On Sunday, Beaudin tallied the game-winning goal on the power play with 1:07 remaining in the third period, lifting the Soaring Eagles to a 2-1 win over the Ephs.
Originally from Lewiston, Maine, Beaudin climbed into second place in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) with eight goals and is tied for third in the conference in game-winning goals (3).
Beaudin and the Soaring Eagles will enjoy nearly a month off for the holiday break before returning to action at the ultra-competitive East-West Hockey Classic, hosted by Norwich University. In the first round on Sunday, January 5, Elmira will take on No. 6 Adrian at 5:00 p.m. inside Kreitzberg Arena.
