Rachael Goetz '20 had a stellar week in the Lone Star State, where the Soaring Eagles opened the 2020 campaign with games at Southwestern and Dallas. The senior from Lake View, New York, logged team highs in points (10), goals (10), draw controls (9), and ground balls (7) in the two games combined. On Wednesday evening against the Crusaders from Dallas, Goetz posted an eye-popping eight goals with nine draw controls, six ground balls, and two caused turnovers to lead the Purple and Gold to an impressive 19-7 win.
Through the first week of the season, Goetz leads the Empire 8 Conference and is tied for fifth in the country in goals scored.
On Wednesday, February 26, the EC women's lacrosse team returns to action with a trip to Utica, New York, to take on SUNY Poly at 5:00 p.m.
