After the men's ice hockey team skated to a 2-2 overtime draw against Neumann on Friday, the Purple and Gold returned to the Murray Athletic Center and shocked visiting Nazareth to the tune of a 10-0 shutout. Jake Russo '23 paced the EC men in assists (3) while tying for the lead in points (4), all of which came in a blowout win over the Golden Flyers on Sunday. A key fixture on the top forward line in the lopsided win was Russo, who recorded career highs in points (4) and assists (3). The sophomore from St. Louis, Missouri, helped EC jump ahead in the first period by earning a point on three of the team's first four goals.
