Box Score

Pittsford, NY – Dave Bucchino '13 made a career-high 29 stops in net and Brian Conzola '13 found the back of the net three times on the day but it was not enough as the Men's Lacrosse team fell to host Nazareth, 19-7, Saturday afternoon at Golden Flyer Stadium. The win keeps Naz undefeated in conference play at 7-0 and moves them to 12-4 overall. The Soaring Eagles drop to 1-12 overall and 0-7 in conference competition.

Elmira got on the board first 86 seconds in when David Evert '14 fed Tyler Campbell '13 for his 14th goal of the season. The Flyers rattled off six straight scores to open up a 6-1 lead early in the second quarter.

The Purple and Gold responded with two of the next three scores coming from the sticks of Conzola and Bryce Richmond '16 to get within 7-3, but Nazareth recorded a devastating goal with one second left in the half to take an 8-3 lead into intermission.

Nazareth scored 10 of the first 11 goals out of break to blow open an 18-4 advantage and cruised to the 19-7 victory. The Flyers controlled shots on goal (48-15) and face-offs (22-8) in the contest.

Bucchino bested his previous career high of 27 stops earlier this season against Utica by making 29 saves in the loss. Tim Doyle stopped eight shots in the win for Nazareth. This closes out the 2013 campaign for the Men's Lacrosse team.
