Utica cut the Elmira lead to three as they scored their first goal of the game just 1:03 into the second quarter but the Purple and Gold responded at the 11:32 mark as Myles Richards '17 scored his first of two goals of the contest, putting Elmira ahead 5-1.

In the fourth, Elmira's rally fell short as the Purple and Gold outscored Utica 5-3 in the quarter, resulting in an 18-12 loss.  Evert scored two of EC's goals in the quarter, as did Anthony LaRusso '17, marking the second time in LaRusso's short EC career that he has registered a multi-goal performance.
