Ashton Hogan '15 led offensively with eight goals and one assist while
Lindsay Wargo '17 made 13 saves in the loss.
Hogan Ties an EC Single-Game RecordHogan's eight goals against Farmingdale State not only set a new career-high, it also tied an EC single-game record for most goals scored. She is the third player in EC history to hit this mark. The first was Perry Markell '10 in 2008, the second was Meghan Pass '12 who scored eight goals in a game twice during the 2012 season.
Wargo's Season In NetLindsay Wargo '17 has made 116 saves this season in the net for the Soaring Eagles. She ranks tied for sixth all-time in most saves in a single-season in Elmira history. She is just five saves away from fifth place. Her 9.54 saves per game average ranks fourth in the Empire 8 Conference, only 1.28 away from first.
Scouting OswegoThe Lakers have a 5-8 overall record and a 1-5 mark inside the SUNYAC. Eranna Shattuck '16 leads the Oswego offense with 48 points on 21 goals and 27 assists. Briana Kimble '17 and Emily Lange '16 are right behind with 33 and 31 points, respectively. Angela Ponta '18 has seen the majority of minutes in net and has posted 116 saves on a .446 save percentage, and has an 11.07 goals against average.
Series HistoryOswego State and Elmira have met seven times since 2003 with the Lakers winning six of those seven games. EC's lone victory in the series came in 2008 when the Soaring Eagles won 16-12. The past five matchups have been decided by an average of just two goals.
