ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The Elmira College men's lacrosse team wraps up the 2018 season with a home tilt against St. John Fisher College on Saturday, April 28. The tilt is slated to start at 1:00 p.m. at Campus Field. The Soaring Eagles will honor its four seniors on the roster before the game as part of the team's Class of 2018 Recognition Day.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Elmira topped Keystone College by a final score of 12-5 to earn its second win of the season.
  • The Soaring Eagles tallied season highs in goals (12) and shots (45) to go along with a season-low five goals allowed.
  • Sophomore midfielder Kevin DiMagno '20 scored a single-game career-high five goals in the contest to lead all players.
  • Senior Jacob Magnoli '18 found the back of the net four times to fall one tally short of tying his career-high scoring output.  
  • Colby Runk '18 rounded out EC's multi-point scorers with three on two goals and one assist.
  • On defense, Jacob Mattice '21 made the start in goal for EC and recorded 12 saves, while Cam Brickey '19 pitched in with four caused turnovers and four ground balls.
 
SCOUTING FISHER
  • The Cardinals have won four of their last five games and are 10-5 overall this season.
  • In the Empire 8 Conference, Fisher is 4-2, which places it in a three-way tie for second on the league leaderboard.
  • The Cardinals have one of the most effective offenses in the conference, as they rank second to No. 14 Stevens Institute of Technology in both points (18.1) and goals points per game (11.3).
  • Senior attacker Andrew Rosso paces the offense in points (55), goals (34) and assists (21).
  • Rosso ranks second in the league in points per game (3.7).
  • Senior goalkeeper Justin Townsend commands the defense, as he has started all 15 games for the team and has made 118 saves with an 8.40 goals-against average.
