ELMIRA, N.Y. – The No. 21 Elmira College women's wrestling program hosted the Inaugural New York State Women's Collegiate Duals inside Speidel Gymnasium on Sunday as the Soaring Eagles battled Utica University and D'Youville University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the lone contested bout between the Soaring Eagles and Utica Pioneers, nationally ranked Zoey Lints '27 delivered a fall in 38 seconds against Utica's Gillian Mills at 143 pounds.
- Elmira would earn forfeit victories at each of the other nine weight classes with Taylor Goguen '26, Kaitlyn Potter '26, Abby Duke '26, Megan Edwards '27, Gabby Bradigan '26, Leslie Monterrosa '24, Skylah Chakouian '25, Hazel Dahlquist '25, and Tayana Labady '25 having their hands raised for the Soaring Eagles.
- In an extra bout between the Soaring Eagles and Pioneers, Ella Bode '27 notched a fall in 38 seconds against Utica's Gillian Mills.
- The match between Elmira and D'Youville would open with three forfeit victories for the Soaring Eagles as Goguen, Duke, and Ana Martins-Garcia '27 were all victorious.
- In the first contested bout at 123 pounds, Edwards notched a pin for the Purple & Gold at the 1:01 mark of the first period against Juliana Smith. The Saints followed with a victory at 130 pounds as Emily Sindoni recorded a 10-0 tech fall victory against Bradigan.
- The Saints notched another victory at 136 pounds as Madison Wellen pinned Monterrosa in a time of 1:39. EC responded with a victory at 143 pounds as Lints notched her second fall of the day in 35 seconds over Saniyah Ward.
- Chakouian and Labady would both record pins for the Soaring Eagles at 155 pounds and 191 pounds, while D'Youville was victorious at 170 pounds with Elizabeth Stricklin getting a fall against Dahlquist.
- An extra bout between the Soaring Eagles and Saints featured Elmira's Hailey Berry '27 squaring off against D'Youville's Adriana Lagoe. Berry would come away with the victory as she pinned Lagoe in a time of 2:32.
