Heggie had a strong showing at the plate as she hit .320 with eight hits in a team-high 25 at-bats. Four of her eight hits were extra-base hits as she recorded two doubles and two triples. She also drove in nine runs and scored six runs while using her speed to go 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts. Finally, she played a perfect centerfield for Elmira as she had a 1.000 fielding percentage in 12 opportunities.

Heggie's best performance came in EC's two-game sweep of Hilbert College on Sunday. She was 5-for-7 on the day with two triples, eight RBI, and two runs scored. In game one against the Hawks, an 8-0 victory, she was 2-for-4 with three RBI, two of which came at her final at-bat which brought the game to a close after five innings. Then, in game two, she was 3-for-3 with five RBI.

Heggie and the softball team, after wrapping-up a stretch of four consecutive doubleheaders, have the day off today before returning to their schedule tomorrow. EC welcomes Morrisville State College to Eldridge Park for a non-conference doubleheader, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
