The duo was two of many Elmira players that helped the baseball team to five wins in seven games last week, including the first doubleheader sweep in program history against Baptist Bible College on Saturday.
Burghardt also had a strong showing at the plate as EC's designated hitter. He batted .471 on the week with eight hits in 17 at-bats and also drew a team-high five walks. He had three extra-base hits, including his first career home run, a two-run shots, against Hilbert College on April 30th. Burghardt produced a team-high nine RBI, scored seven runs, and led the team with a .765 slugging percentage.
