Despite season-opening losses to No. 19 SUNY Cortland and Susquehanna University, Michael Bryant '17 started the year off on the right foot with a pair of goals, one assist and five points on a team-high seven shot attempts to lead the EC offense.
Originally from Portola Hills, CA, Bryant was involved in both goals as the Soaring Eagles jumped out to an early 2-0 lead against the nationally-ranked Red Dragons on September 1st. He netted the first goal in the 19th minute after intercepting a pass in the backend and setting up a one-on-one opportunity with the SUNY Cortland goalkeeper. In the 23rd minute, Bryant assisted on Kurt Bartholomew's '18 one-timer from inside the 18-yard box. In the 2-1 loss to Susquehanna on September 4th, Bryant tied the game at 1-1 with a penalty kick in the 81st minute.
