Audrey Clarke '18 put together an impressive performance in her first tournament of the 2015-16 season. She recorded a combined two-round score of 130 to finish in third place at the Empire 8 Women’s Golf Championships over the weekend at the Ravenwood Gold Club in Victor, NY. In the rain-shortened first round on Saturday she shot a 46 before carding an 84 in the second round on Sunday, both team bests. In addition, her 84 marked a career single-round record, one stroke shy of her previous best.
For her efforts, Clarke was named to the All-Empire 8 Conference First Team, following up her All-E8 Second Team selection from her rookie campaign. She paced the Soaring Eagles to a third-place overall finish.
The Soaring Eagles women’s golf team will return to action on Saturday, September 26th, and Sunday, September 27th, at the Martin-Wallace Invitational, hosted by SUNY Cortland at the Cortland Country Club.
