In only her first season with the Soaring Eagles, Natalie Schieder '19 has made a huge impact on all phases of the game. She paced the team in kills (33) and digs (43) to go along with four aces and two blocks last week. She produced double-doubles against the Yellowjackets and the Highlanders, her 11th and 12th of the season.
Against Rochester, the Alden, NY, product finished second among all players with 14 kills. She also finished with 19 digs, one shy of her career best.
Schieder's outing against Houghton was one of her all-around best of the season. She turned in an outstanding .412 hitting percentage, tied for her fourth best of the year, with a team-high 15 kills and only one attacking error. She padded her stat line with 18 digs and three service aces.
The rookie outside hitter finished the weekend with four kills, six digs and one assisted block against Stevens.
On the season, Schieder leads EC and ranks fourth in the Empire 8 with 299 kills and 2.99 kills per set. She is also third in the conference in service aces (53) and aces per set (.53).
