Jordyn Rousselle '18 was responsible for three of the four goals netted by the Elmira women's soccer team last week, which guided the Purple and Gold to a 1-0-1 record in two home contests. The senior striker tallied twice, including the game-winner, in EC's 3-2 overtime defeat of Wells on Tuesday, September 19, and came up clutch with a late goal in the second half to force overtime in a 1-1 double-overtime draw against Alfred in the 2017 Empire 8 opener on Saturday.
Her outing against the Express was one of the best of her four-year career with the Soaring Eagles, as Rousselle tied her single-game high with two goals. Down 1-0 in the first half, the Stillwater, New York, native made a great play to steal the ball from a Wells defender and then rip a shot from the 18 over the head of the goalkeeper.
