Poole paced the Elmira College Men’s Soccer team to a 1-1 week as it downed Keuka College 2-0 Tuesday on the road and fell 1-0 at Houghton on Saturday. The third year midfielder had a huge game against the Storm as he tallied both Soaring Eagle scores. His first goal game at the 7:20 mark when he beat the keeper to the far post. Poole’s second marker of the day came in the 39th minute when he once again beat the goalie far post, this time off a direct kick set piece.

The Men’s Soccer team is 11-5 overall and 2-3 in Empire 8 play, having lost four of its last six contests. The team hosts Utica College in a pivotal conference match-up to close the regular season Saturday at 3:00 p.m. With a win the Soaring Eagles would claim the fourth and final seed in the playoffs. If the Pioneers tie or win they would earn the final postseason bid.
