Porrett was equally as impressive in the double-digit win over St. Lawrence, as the third-year point guard put on a clinic with his passing. The Dumont, New Jersey, native produced his third double-digit assist performance of the season with 19 dimes, a mark the set new EC and Empire 8 single-game records. Porrett’s 19 assists were five better than EC’s previous record holder, Luke Vogel ’01, who dished out 14 on February 20, 2001 against Cazenovia. Not only did Porrett set a new single-game record for assists, he also etched his name in the EC record book for career assists. In two-and-a-half seasons, Porrett has amassed 273 assists, good enough to move into ninth place in program history.
