Adam Eby '21 off of the glass, Ford deked out a defender in the right faceoff circle and beat the Hobart netminder glove side. The former All-American did it again on Saturday night, this time on the power play, which helped Elmira secure a 1-1 overtime draw against its Route 14 rival.
Through two games, Ford ranks second among all skaters in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) in goals and is in the top 10 in points and power-play points.
Ford and the Soaring Eagles open conference play this weekend with a back-to-back road games in Pennsylvania, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. matchup against King's (Pa.) at the Revolution Ice Centre on Friday, November 8.
