Tristen Tolan '21 and the No. 3-ranked EC women's ice hockey team ran over their nearby rivals from the north side of Seneca Lake on Saturday afternoon. The Soaring Eagles won their third consecutive game in shutout fashion, as they clipped the William Smith Herons, 7-0, on home ice at the Murray Athletic Center. In the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) win, Tolan, a junior from Anchorage, Alaska, recorded season highs in points (3) and goals (2), and scored a power-play goal for the second time in as many games.
Through the first three games of the 2019-20 campaign, Tolan is tied for third on the team in points (7), while her two power-play tallies are tied for first.
The third-ranked Soaring Eagles will put their unbeaten UCHC record on the line with a pair of road contests at Nazareth on Friday, November 22, and at Utica on Saturday, November 23.
