On Saturday night at the third annual Teddy Bear Toss Game, Christian Lloyd '20 continued to shine as a two-way blueliner for the EC men's ice hockey team. The Ancaster, Ontario, native extended his point streak to three consecutive games with a season-high-tying two goals, as the Soaring Eagles took down Lebanon Valley, 7-1, in a lopsided UCHC affair. He opened the scoring four-and-a-half minutes into the first period with a long-range shot, which was followed by a flood of stuffed toys onto the ice in celebration.
With nine points (5g-4a) on the season, Lloyd is tied for fourth on the team in points and is tied for third in the UCHC in defenseman scoring.
The Elmira men will also enjoy an extended break before heading north for a tough two-day tournament, as the Soaring Eagles are scheduled to take on Endicott in the first round of the W.B. Mason Classic in Plattsburgh, New York, on Friday, January 3.
