On the ice, Devyn Gilman '21 led the No. 4-ranked Soaring Eagles to their seventh and eighth consecutive wins, as Elmira topped United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) foes Manhattanville, 4-1, and Neumann, 3-0. The third-year forward from Yorba Linda, California, extended her point streak to six games with a combined three points (2g-1a), which included a pair of power-play tallies. She potted the game-winning goal on the power play on Friday against the Valiants, before adding a power-play goal and assisting on the game-winner against the Knights.
Gilman's six-game point streak has moved the junior into third place on the team in points (19). She sits in a tie for first on the team and fifth in the UCHC in power-play goals (4), while also ranking among the conference's top 10 in game-winners (2).
The fourth-ranked EC women's ice hockey team returns to Pennsylvania for two UCHC games this weekend. The first stop on the road trip is in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, for a 5:00 p.m. matchup against Wilkes on Friday, February 7.
