Mary McCafferty '22 finished EC's two-game sweep of Utica with three points (2g-1a), including the first two goals of her junior season. The Wall Township, New Jersey, native extended her point streak to four consecutive games while the Soaring Eagles improved to 5-0-0 against United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) opponents.
On the road at the Adirondack Bank Center on Friday, McCafferty netted the game-winning goal, as the Soaring Eagles edged the Pioneers, 3-2. The following afternoon, she tied a season-high with two points (1g-1a). She broke a 1-1 tie to give Elmira the lead for good in the second period, then earned the primary assist on a power-play goal in the third period to seal a 4-2 victory.
