A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Matt Daley '24 fueled the Soaring Eagles' attack in their first win of the 2021 campaign, as the EC routed the Wells Express, 15-4. The rookie attacker led all players with a career- and game-high seven goals, the most by a Soaring Eagle since Jackson Correia netted seven against Utica on April 21, 2012. Daley had a natural hat trick in the second quarter, in addition to a man-up goal in the fourth. He also handed out one assist for a team-leading eight points.
Daley and the EC men's lacrosse team return to action on Wednesday, March 31, when the Purple and Gold travel to Hamburg, New York, to face Hilbert. The Soaring Eagles and Hawks will face off at 3:00 p.m.
