Sullivan stopped a remarkable 37 shots in her 10th shutout of the season as the Soaring Eagles defeated host Bowdoin College, 4-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. With the win EC advances to the semifinals of the 2013 NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Championships in Superior, Wisconsin. Elmira plays Gustavus Adolphus at 8:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. CDT on Friday.
 
The 37 saves are the most in a game by any Elmira goaltender or Sullivan since she made 38 saves February 4th, 2011 in a 3-1 loss to Rochester Institute of Technology. The win on Saturday marks the senior’s 10th shutout of the season which ranks her first in the country and also ties an Elmira single season record. The Toronto, Ontario native has 21 career shutouts which is the second most of any EC goaltender all-time.
