Bujak compiled an impressive 4-0 record in two matches this week as the Men’s Tennis team split against St. John Fisher and Hartwick. Despite the team dropping a heartbreaker, 5-4, on Tuesday to the Cardinals Bujak gritted out a third set tie break victory at fourth singles winning 7-6 (7-3), 0-6, 6-1. He also teamed up with Sam Pine ’14 at first doubles to earn a 9-8 (7-4) victory.
On Saturday against Hartwick the sophomore cruised to victory at the fourth flight of singles, 6-3 and 6-1. He and Pine once again formed a formidable opponent at the first doubles position defeating the Hawk, 9-8 (7-3). The Lyndeborough, NH native finishes his first season with the Purple and Gold going 6-1 in Empire 8 singles play. The Men’s Tennis team closes out its season today when it hosts Keuka College at the Murray Athletic Center beginning at 4:00 p.m.
