Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Scranton, 17-7

Scranton, PA – In a game that was originally scheduled as a home contest for the Soaring Eagles, the EC Women's Lacrosse team traveled to take on Scranton University in a non-conference game.  EC entered today's game after winning their first two games while Scranton looked to pick up their first win of the season.

Elmira had a tough go in the first half of play as they were limited 8 shots while Scranton fired off 19 leading to a 11-1 halftime score.  In the second half Elmira played Scranton even as both teams netted 6 goals, resulting in a 17-7 loss for the Soaring Eagles.

EC's Jordan Donegan '12 (Syracuse, NY -- Corcoran) led Elmira as she registered 4 points on 2 goals and 2 assists.  She also collected a ground ball and caused a turnover while fellow classmate Lindsay Mitchell '12 (Arnold, MD -- Arnold) scored two goals.

The Soaring Eagles will look to pick up their third win of the season as they travel to take on the Express of Wells College on Saturday, March 26th.  Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
