Elmira, NY – The Elmira College Women's Lacrosse team fell to visiting Ithaca College, 18-1, Saturday afternoon at Campus Field. The win improves the Bombers to 9-3 overall and 5-0 in Empire 8 play, while the loss drops the Soaring Eagles to 7-5 overall and 1-4 in conference competition.
Ithaca dominated play early and often rattling off seven straight goals in the first nine minutes of action. EC got on the board at the 9:32 mark of the first half when

Ithaca continued to pressure Elmira, often double teaming the ball and turning defense into a quick counterattack on the offensive end. The Bombers scored eight more goals in the second half on the way to an 18-1 rout
. Samantha Risi '14 (Coopersburg, PA -- Southern Lehigh) led Elmira with five ground balls, while
Rebecca Matturro '14 (Smithtown, NY -- Smithtown),
