Box Score Pittsford, NY -- The Elmira College women's lacrosse team (5-11, 2-5 E8) was held to one goal this afternoon as the Soaring Eagles fell on the road to No. 18 nationally ranked St. John Fisher College (12-4, 5-1 E8).
St. John Fisher opened the first half by scoring 11 consecutive goals before
Ashton Hogan '15 ended the Cardinal run as she netted her 42nd goal of the season with 57 seconds to play in the half. Hogan's 42 goals this year moves her into seventh place in Elmira College history in single-season goals and ups her career total to 71, putting her in a two-way tie for 11th place in EC history.
Unfortunately for the Purple and Gold, Hogan's lone score of the first half would be all they would get as the Cardinals went on to win it, 18-1. Elmira will be back in action on Monday, April 28th when the Soaring Eagles host Scranton University in EC's season finale. Game-time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Elmira College's Campus Field in Elmira, NY.
