Ryan wrapped-up her spectacular four-year career this weekend at the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament, where the Soaring Eagles would finish as the national runner-ups. Ryan scored one goal and tallied one assist in the semifinal and championship games and earned a place on the NCAA All-Tournament Team.

EC trailed Wisconsin-River Falls, 2-0, late in the second period of Friday's semifinal game, but Ryan helped set up a buzzer-beating Ashton Hogan '15 power-play goal to make it a 2-1 game. That assist was monumental for Ryan as it broke an Elmira College single-season record for assists in a season with 42. It also tied the NCAA Division III record for assists in a season, cementing Ryan's 2014-15 season as one of the best all-time. Elmira scored two third period goals to complete the comeback and advance to the championship game.

The Soaring Eagles were again playing from behind in the championship game as they fell behind 1-0 after one period of play. Ryan, however, came through early in the second period to even the score with an impressive unassisted goal. She took Cardinal goalie Camille Leonard one-on-one and beat the sophomore five-hole to make it a 1-1 game and even the game's momentum. The Soaring Eagles fought back and nearly evened the score on multiple occasions in the third period, but unfortunately for EC, they would come out on the losing end of a 3-2 game.

Prior to the semifinal and championship games, Ryan was honored with a number of accolades at the awards banquet Thursday night. The top scorer in the nation and the only player to reach 60 points in 2014-15, Ryan was named the 2015 Laura Hurd National Player of the Year. She became the third player in Elmira history to be named National Player of the Year, joining the late, great Laura Hurd '05, and Kayla Coady '09, who also won the award in their senior seasons. Ryan also earned her second-consecutive AHCA First Team All-American selection and was joined by classmates Brooke Wilgosh '15 and Ashton Hogan '15.
