Waters went undefeated on the week, leading the men's tennis team to a pair of Empire 8 Conference victories and into the Empire 8 Conference Tournament for the first time since the four-team format was adopted in 2008. Elmira swept Utica College, 9-0, on Saturday, then came back home to defeat Nazareth College on Sunday, 6-3, to secure their spot in the tournament field.

His four victories helped Waters make Elmira College men's tennis history as he moved up in several categories in the EC record books, including into second place for total wins in a career. His two doubles wins increased his career total to 26, moving him into sole possession of first place for career doubles wins, while his two singles victories moved Waters into a tie with Dave Olsson '02 for second place all-time in career singles wins.
