Emily Green '18 registered the best week of her senior season to help the EC women's hoops team secure three wins on the road. The fourth-year guard, who started all three contests, averaged 14.3 points, second-most on the team over the course of the week, in addition to 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. She was also Elmira's most efficient shooter from 3-point range, going 7-for-20 (35.0 percent) from beyond the arc.

The Fredericksburg, Virginia, native chipped in six points on a trio of buckets during the Soaring Eagles' 63-49 win over the Pennsylvania College of Technology on November 27. Green helped EC control the glass, as she hauled in a season-best six rebounds against the Wildcats, while adding one assist and one steal. However, the 5-foot-7-inch shooter notched her best outings of the year at SUNY Cortland and Wells on November 30 and December 3, respectively. In an 82-77 win over the Red Dragons, Green netted 17 points, 15 of which came from downtown. She tied her single-came career best with five 3-pointers, including four in the second half.

Green's highest-scoring performance of the young season came on Sunday, when the Soaring Eagles edged the Express of Wells by a 61-55 final score. She accumulated 20 points – just the second game of her EC career with 20-or-more – on 6-of-13 (46.2 percent) shooting from the field and 6-of-8 (75.0 percent) from the foul line. Twice in the fourth quarter she was fouled on 3-point attempts and her three consecutive free throws inside the final two-and-a-half minutes gave Elmira the lead for good at 54-51.

Through the first six games of her final collegiate season, Green ranks second among the Soaring Eagles with 11.2 points per game and has reached double figures in three of her last four outings. Her nine 3-point field goals are second-most on the team and her 1.5 3-point makes per game are tied for ninth in the Empire 8 Conference.

The EC women will look to keep things rolling on Tuesday, December 5, when the Purple and Gold host Clarks Summit in a non-conference matchup inside Speidel Gymnasium at 6:00 p.m.
